Major Christine M. Pierce, Cyber Defense Branch Chief and the Defensive Cyber Operations Element (DCOE) Team Chief, PA Army National Guard
MAJ Christine Pierce serves as the PA National Guard Cyber Defense Branch Chief and the Defensive Cyber Operations Element (DCOE) Team Chief. She has been working in the Military Information Technology and Cybersecurity field for over 18 years as both an Active Duty and National Guard Officer. In her current roles as the Cyber Branch Chief and DCOE Team Chief, she has worked on many cyber initiatives across the Commonwealth and within the PA National Guard to include building and establishing the first cyber branch in the PA National Guard, establishing a Joint Cyber Training Facility at Fort Indiantown Gap, integral contributor to the Commonwealth PA cyber working group and the Pennsylvania Cyber Incident Annex, leader of the state cyber training and exercise workgroup, and working with PA state and local governments, educational institutions, and private companies to provide cybersecurity assistance and cyber incident response across the Commonwealth. She is responsible for the overall management and coordination of all Pennsylvania National Guard cyber operations, policy, training, and incident response. Christine is also part-time corporate faculty at Harrisburg University and currently teaches courses in the Master’s Cybersecurity and Operations Management Program.
MAJ Pierce earned a Master’s of Science Degree in Information Science and Technology – Cybersecurity & Information Assurance from Penn State University, a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice from Temple University, and attended the Penn State Dickinson School of Law.
