Amanda Greene, Senior Lab Chemist, Amphenol Communications Solutions

Amanda Greene is a chemist and senior industry professional with a background spanning academic research, space science, and advanced materials testing.

After earning dual undergraduate degrees in Chemistry and Forensic Science from Towson University, she began her career in education, teaching chemistry at both the secondary and collegiate  levels, with a concentration in inorganic chemistry and mentoring undergraduate researchers in nanoparticle synthesis. She went on to join NASA, where she contributed to the agency’s contamination control program across multiple missions, most notably the James Webb Space Telescope and the Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope.

She is now a Senior Chemist at Amphenol, where she leads efforts in advanced laboratory analysis, corrosion testing, and applied reliability studies, supporting innovation and product development across a broad range of technologies.

In addition to her technical and leadership roles, she is an active member of the American Chemical Society (ACS) and the Society of Women Engineers (SWE), and she has served as an advisor and mentor in undergraduate research programs. She is committed to advancing women in STEM fields and is an advocate for women pursuing careers in science and engineering.

She has been recognized not only for her technical expertise but also for her dedication to mentorship, leadership development, and fostering a culture of accountability and innovation.
