Chelsea Marsh, Head of Hardware Engineering, BAYER Pharmaceuticals

Chelsea Marsh is currently the Head of Hardware Engineering in Bayer’s Radiology R&D division. She received dual undergraduate degrees in Chemical and Biomedical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, a Master’s of Science in Bioengineering from the University of Pennsylvania, and a PhD in Bioengineering from the University of Pittsburgh. She has worked at Bayer for 11 years and has previous experience as a Human Factors Engineer, Systems Engineer, and Chief Engineer. Her current role as Head of Hardware Engineering involves leading a team of electrical and mechanical engineers as well as electromechanical lab technicians in new product development. Outside of work Chelsea focuses her volunteer efforts in STEM learning and mentoring by partnering with several local universities, involvement in Making Science Make Sense, and judging at the Pittsburgh Regional Science and Engineering Fair.
