Loujin Daher, P.E., serves as a Geotechnical Dam Safety Engineer at AECOM, the infrastructure consulting firm consistently ranked as the #1 Dams and Reservoirs firm by Engineering News-Record (ENR), maintaining its reputation as the industry’s global leader. With 9 years of geotechnical engineering expertise, Loujin excels in extending the design life of the nation’s dams. Her skills encompass engineering analyses, design, and the assessment of earthen structures, along with managing field explorations, planning laboratory testing programs, and overseeing construction sites. An active member of ASCE since 2018, Loujin has held leadership roles as vice president, president, and communication chair of the Central PA section, contributing significantly to infrastructure advocacy. She is also involved with ASCE at the national level, currently serving on the sub-technical committee for the ASCE National Convention and as an active member of the MOSAIC Committee. Beyond her professional life, Loujin actively contributes to her community, volunteering for Adopt-the-Highway events with the Central PA ASCE Younger Member Group (YMG), serving as a panelist and speaker for STEM outreach events in Central PA colleges and universities, and mentoring summer interns and entry-levels through the ASCE Mentor-Match. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, cooking, playing pickleball and kickball, and cheering for the Baltimore Orioles Baseball Team with her partner, Craig. In recognition of her outstanding technical achievements and contributions to the engineering profession, Loujin received the 2024 Young Engineer of the Year Award from the Central Pennsylvania Engineers Week Council (CPEWC).
