Michelle Montgomery, Senior Chemist, Covestro

Michelle Montgomery is a senior chemist within Covestro’s Automotive and Specialty Systems group. After earning her BS in Chemistry from the University of Pittsburgh in 2017, she joined Covestro and subsequently completed her MS in Polymer Engineering from Lehigh University while working fulltime. At Covestro, Michelle specializes in formulating and supporting specialty foam systems, including applications in instrument panels, arm and headrests, and filtration systems. She collaborates closely with customers to develop customized foam solutions for unique, niche applications, leveraging her technical expertise and creative problem-solving skills. Beyond her professional pursuits, she enjoys exploring nature through hiking and travel, spending time with her dogs, and discovering new creative outlets through various crafting endeavors.
