Mwamba Rebecca Mvula, MD is a Urogynecologist and Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery fellow at UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital. Originally from New Orleans, she graduated from Vanderbilt University in 2016 and earned her medical degree at Tulane University. She went on to complete her OB/GYN residency at Northwell Health NS–LIJ. Her research focuses on racial disparities in women’s healthcare, prolapse recurrence, and recurrent urinary tract infections. Committed to advancing equity and representation in medicine, she strives to improve outcomes for women through clinical innovation, mentorship, building community for women in STEM.
