Raina Sharma, Owner/Principal Consultant, Sharma Consulting

Raina Sharma is a public health, data, and product strategy consultant with more than a decade of experience translating complex data and stakeholder needs into practical solutions that improve health outcomes and organizational performance. As the founder of Sharma Consulting, Raina supports organizations through reporting and analytics, data and analytics strategy, and product and project management. Her expertise spans public health, health information exchanges (HIEs), healthcare data standards, epidemiology, analytics, and technology implementation. She has led data modernization initiatives focused on electronic case reporting and laboratory data exchange, managed the statewide COVID-19 contact tracing system for the Maryland Department of Health, and developed analytics solutions using HIE data to support disease surveillance and public health decision-making. Her career includes roles with CRISP Shared Services, the New York eHealth Collaborative, the Maryland Department of Health, and the U.S. Army Public Health Center, as well as experience in the video game industry. She holds a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology and Global Health from Columbia University and and undergraduate degree in Biology and Sociology from Bucknell University. She is also a Certified in Public Health professional, EDGE Leadership graduate (shoutout to Christy Uffelman!),  certified Army Master Resiliency Trainer, and recently completed her 300 hour yoga teacher training. Raina is driven by a simple goal: to innovate for the greater good by using data, technology, and thoughtful collaboration to build solutions that make a meaningful difference in people’s lives.
