Sahar Mokhtari, Ph.D., is the R&D Manager at Vesuvius, where she leads research and development in high-temperature ceramics. With over 10 years of experience in materials science, she has successfully guided multiple new products from concept to launch. In her role, she manages a team of scientists, engineers, and lab technicians to deliver advanced ceramic technologies that enhance durability and performance in demanding industrial environments. Sahar earned her Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from Alfred University. As a woman in STEM, she is passionate about championing innovation, sustainability, and inclusion while inspiring the next generation of scientists and engineers.
