Teray Johnson, PhD, MS, MBA, Director, Analytics and Operations, Lifepoint Health
Teray is the Director of Data Automation and Transformation at Lifepoint Health, a health system with over 80 hospitals and rehab and behavioral health facilities in 30 states, where she leads multidisciplinary teams in analysis of hospital operations and performance improvement. Additionally, she is a part-time professor of analytics, statistics, and ethics in data analysis at Harrisburg University of Science and Technology in Pennsylvania. She has 9 years of healthcare experience in a variety of areas, including managing patient transportation for a 500-bed hospital in Baltimore, leading operations in nursing administration, and leading hospitals and primary care practices in improving population health. She serves as a board member of the/ American College of Healthcare/ Executives as one of the co-chairs of the Career Development Committee in which she leads 5 subcommittees in helping organization members reach their professional goals. She holds a PhD in Data Sciences and a Master’s of Science in Analytics from Harrisburg University and an MBA in Management Information Systems from Rowan University in Glassboro, New Jersey. She has several peer-reviewed publications, mainly about how hospital leaders can improve organizational culture and reduce employee burnout. In her free time, she enjoys walking the boardwalks with her family, exploring new places around the country, perusing flea markets and small businesses, and reading and writing fantasy and science fiction novels.
