
Tina L. Nixon, MHA, CDE, Owner, M2M Consulting, LLC
Tina L Nixon served as Vice President, Mission Effectiveness, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion for UPMC Central Pa from May 2015 to January 2025. She is currently establishing her own consultancy business. Prior to joining UPMC, Tina was the Chief Executive Officer and Director of Resource Development at the YWCA Greater Harrisburg for 15 years, where she significantly expanded programs and resources for the community’s most vulnerable populations.
With over 25 years in the human services field, Tina has addressed critical issues such as hunger, homelessness, workforce development, healthcare, domestic violence, sexual assault, childcare, racial justice, community health, health equity, and health disparities. She advocates for the less fortunate.
Throughout her career, Tina has demonstrated servant leadership, empowering and encouraging women, particularly women of color. She continues to be a role model and advocate for all women. Even during this transitional period, Tina remains committed to supporting those in need within the community. As a DEI practitioner, she passionately believes in the value of DEI initiatives in both workplaces and communities.
Tina is a native of Harrisburg and holds a Master of Healthcare Administration from Walden University and a B.S. in Political Science/Sociology from East Stroudsburg University. She is a Certified Diversity Executive from the Society for Diversity and a nationally certified Mental Health First Aid Instructor for Adults and Youth from the National Council for Mental Wellbeing. Tina is married to her best friend and number one supporter of 29 years (James) and has 27-year-old twins, Miles, and Miranda, who are also her greatest supporters.
